I'm back part 2..

OK so just a slight recap, yup we got married and I graduated from MMI in January 2010! Great learning experience and if you're interested in motorcycles that's the place to go!

So after graduation me and wife moved back to Washington State and stayed with her mom for a short because we had renters in our house that weren't due out until the following June! Prior to June I met my good friend (one of the best friends I've ever had) Jimi, fellow MMI student (Mr. Student of the Course FYI) in Fort Collins Colorado and rode across country on our bikes heading to Lebanon Pennsylvania. He started out from Phoenix and I started out from Western WA. My trip just getting to Fort Collins was a very chilly riding experience! I rode over Look Out Pass and 4th of July Pass in Northern Idaho in a snow storm headed to Missoula Montana for the night... VERY chilly but a good start to a great trip!

I rode through Boseman, Butte and Billings (The killer B's which stands for BRRRRR) on my way to Fort Collins. Stayed in a few hotel along the way even took me an extra night to meet up with Jimi because when I stopped for gas in Casper Wyoming I slid most of the way down the off ramp of the freeway and decided: "Ok this is enough for one day and it's getting slick out there!" Stayed the night at a nice hotel called the Showboat I believe and got up the next morning and waited til it hit 35 degrees (so as not to hit any ice) and got back on the road going 200 miles to Fort Collins Colorado via Cheyenne Wyoming!

When I finally got to Fort Collins Jimi was waiting at the rest stop for me. I stopped, we hugged up and then he starts telling me how cold the trip was for him coming from Phoenix!?! I told him to shut up after all the wacky weather I had to get through just to get to his location!

After a quick pitstop at the rest area we were on our way to Pennsylvania! (more to follow... man this catching up 4 years is rough but I will continue soon)

I'm back!

Wow it's been a LONG time since I've used this thing! I'm technically NOT a blogger but why not catch up some since September 2008. Right? OK, well me and Melissa got married on August 5th 2009 in Spearfish out in Savoy during the Sturgis Bike Rally in Meade County South Dakota! We both agree it was the best way to get hitched! We had a great time and were surrounded by friends, Mark Wickline was my best man and Jim Wickline was the 'maid of honor'... almost thought she shoulda picked Sara but the woman just loves Jim like crazy so it's her wedding! So why not?
After the ceremony, which by the way was on an overlook platform and had huge waterfalls in the background and the name of the park of Rough Lock Falls! Great place to see if you're ever in the area! Me and Melissa hopped on the bike her in her white leather mini dress, fishnets, and veil and me in my kilt headed out for Deadwood where we rode through downtown dead would and blared the horns! There were 10 other bikes with us for the ride back to Sturgis!
After leaving Deadwood with quite the ruckus we set our sites on downtown Sturgis! After arriving in Sturgis we headed right down Main Street, horns blaring, AGAIN! After many photos were taken of us we hit the end of Main Street and headed for Lazelle and got back on our horns... until mine died a miserable embarrassing death! (sounded like a wounded duck). Damn that horn has been replaced not too long before that, but hey it got the job done!

So yes it's official we are married now and quite happily!

Well it's dinner time now and I'm going to eat and add more later on in the week, not that anyone is remotely interested, and get a few more events all caught up!

6 inches from the sun and 6 inches from hell!

We are now in Phoenix, been here since mid-July! I'm attending MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) and Melissa is attending Apollo College and we're both A students! Wow! We're trying to make the best of the heat, it can be trying at times but October is just around the corner... never been so excited for the weather to cool down before in my life. But this is Phoenix and it is HOT here so a nice cool breeze would be a welcome change, even if it's 80+ degrees.

My bike is still in Washington but soon on its way here via JC Motors, still looks like it will be 2 and a half weeks out before it arrives and when it arrives it needs a check up so I'm having it shipped to Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson here in Phoenix off of Cave Creek Road.

We miss our friends and family a lot but we'll be through school before we know it and we'll be well on our way home by then.
